The Secrets to a Successful Past Life Regression – The Death Scene

tiger

The death scene is usually not scary. I know this seems counterintuitive, but I’ve found this to be the case. Normally the specific moments during the lifetime are more pivotal. In one session a woman of Asian American descent was experiencing a lifetime as a boy of around 10 years old from a primitive tribe. He was allowed to hunt with the men because of a drought condition and shortage of food. While hunting the boy heard a noise behind them and a tiger chased them. He couldn’t run as fast as the men through the sand and got caught. I had her float up out of the body and look down. I asked her what was happening, and she was kind of suppressing a laugh and said the tiger was eating the boy. Then she said I don’t know why, but this just seems extremely funny to me. I never cease to be amazed! In processing at the end there was absolutely no fear of death in that existence. More often clients can just describe it as if watching a movie, and they occasionally stay around and watch loved ones for a while after their death.

The lifetimes are gathered, processed and healed after floating out of the bodies into the area in between lives. Our guides, higher self or even deceased loved ones are often experienced in this area. Bringing the various lifetime memories into the conscious mind and understanding your patterns will lead to real healing. Things that have held us back or caused us to feel physically or emotionally stuck or sick become clear.

More insights will come to you in the weeks after your session. Once the memory has been opened you have the key to that door your mind will continue to process the data. Understanding and insights will come to you in dreams or while in thought and even in further hypnosis sessions. For some, one session is all you need, for others it’s a process of peeling back the layers of issues from the past and they will have a series of sessions over time.

It doesn’t really matter whether you believe that you have been reincarnated or it only exists in your mind. The healing and perception beyond your physical existence can be profound. The conscious amnesia we have to our previous life times helps us focus on the current life we are leading and not be cluttered with everything we have ever done in all of our existences. This amazing process gives us a way to sift through and find the important experiences and lives that have immediate impact on our current existence to help us become un-stuck and move forward!

My Experiences On The Radio

Kim Trotman, Newport Beach CA, Newport Beach Psychic

I’m so thankful to the warm and interesting host Char McCain for having me as a guest on her show “The Paranormal and The Sacred”. A special thanks to all of the brave people that called in to asked questions and let me do intuitive readings for them, and all of their positive feedback.

During the interview we discuss my family background and how the heck I went from working in Civil Engineering Design to working as a Hypnotherapist doing Past Life Regressions, Intuitive readings and Mediumship. I even have my very own Psychic pimp! Thanks Jeanne!

The questions were great. I answer questions ranging from how you can learn to see Auras and what some of the colors mean to how I learned to do Past Life Regressions and my training with the amazing Dr. Brian Weiss. I explain different theories and my own belief as to what recovered “Past Life” experiences are. I discussed the healing potential and tell my own story of clearing my phobia of being strangled. I described a recent case where a client had a spontaneous regression into her past lifetime where her now adoring husband murdered her.

A question from Adrian brought his deceased father through with an apology. We even had Steve Pierce (witness to the Travis Walton UFO case) call in with a question about his missing brother and whether he should finish writing his book. The brave host Char McCain let me read her and look at the changes in her life.

We also talked about the importance of staying grounded in life, even with paranormal and UFO interests, what topics I cover when I guest Lecture at Chapman University and which crazy class asks me to come speak. I even gave advice on how to see a past life using self-hypnosis.

Here is the link to my interview on “The Paranormal and the Sacred”. I hope you enjoy it!

How to Determine Which Spirits Can be Beneficial in our Lives

Good spirits or bad spirits

Children are natural mediums and tend to see more than most adults do. Pets are excellent at seeing spirit activity as well. Not all spirits are negative or scary. Many are relatives looking in on us to see how we are doing. There are also instances of spirit guides and angels that are there for us as children or adults when we ask for help. A great way to identify these helpful beings is that they will never intrude in our lives or be intentionally scary.

Intelligent Ghosts and Hauntings: Typical hauntings occur in places with a lot of history, but that is not always the case. Ghosts can manifest anywhere. Ghosts or trapped souls with unfinished business may fall into the unwanted spirit category, when they try to interact, demand our attention, scare us us into leaving or keep us from sleeping they become a problem. There are cases of spirits that seem helpful at first, but then start to become scary or drain you or your child’s energy. In these cases, they will need to be cleared out of your lives. See “Helping Children Bothered by Unwanted Spirits”.

Residual Hauntings: frequently these hauntings are neutral. This type of haunting will replay a ghostly action over and over again, more like a TV show that repeats like clockwork. There will be no interaction with the living (other than you witness it). After no harm is experienced often the living will adopt a “live and let live” approach to this situation. It can feel frightening, but not harmful. My sister and I experienced this type of residual haunting in a Motel room. We both woke up suddenly were shocked to see a man hovering above the bed. My sister said she couldn’t see his legs, I saw an old wrought Iron elevator surrounding him. I wondered if the Motel had been remodeled and the old elevator shaft was where the beds were now. This apparition absolutely didn’t notice us at all and was probably replay of the old elevator operator still doing his job. I wonder how many other people have had this same experience at this Motel.

Angels: In a few instances I have experienced a very soft warm loving energy cloud around people going through a rough time. I really feel that these are angelic beings that are very comforting and loving. One experience was around a friend from high school who was pregnant and divorcing a man who was a mistake. Her parents were old school and not at all happy about the situation. My friend was miserable and every time I was over to visit her, I saw this white, warm sparkling cloud-like being that felt like pure, love. I experienced this angelic being until a few months after the baby was born. I’m sure this angelic being was there for the baby through the stressful pregnancy and living situation.

Spirit Guides: These beings seem to choose and mentor us. We usually have more than one. They will help us with different aspects in our life. One may help you with personal relationships and another may help you in school or your career. They are a type of teacher for us. I know of a couple of instances where a Guide gave a warning about a dangerous situation.

The following is an example of a helping Spirit Guide. This happened to my good friends daughter when she was 14 year old. She is a wise old soul, even then, at her young age. Brittany woke up in the middle of the night and saw an Indian standing beside her bed. We all talked about it and she realized that he was there to help her. She asked him not to show himself to her, telling him that it made her nervous. I have seen him around her since then, but he has honored her wish. I’m sure if she ever wanted to see him, he would appear again.

Deceased Loving Relatives: When Brittany’s older sister was 3 years old, she used to see her Grandfather appear in her room at night. She told my friend that he was waking her up. The same thing worked like a charm. She asked him to not wake her up. When he realized it was disturbing her sleep, he stopped showing himself to her. This is a really good way to know that the guide or deceased relative is just checking in and showing loving interest and guidance. They will not ignore your wishes and wellbeing. Nothing to be alarmed about!

Sometimes the interaction is so subtle and loving that the child is not even aware of it. This happened to my mom who now lives in Oregon. She was looking at old family photos with my aunt Mary about 15 years ago. As they went through the album, they saw a photo of their great grandmother. My mom was born in Chicago and lived in that area up until she was 5 years old. In that time period, my mom’s parents would have Sunday dinners with my grandmother, Margaret’s family at my great grandmother, Salina’s farmhouse in Kentucky. My mom remembered playing and having a great time with my aunt and her brother up stairs. Their great grandmother smoked her pipe and kept an eye on them as they played. (Just the pipe smoking alone would make an impression.) All those years later while looking at the photo, my mom asked my aunt why their great grandmother never came down stairs and sat at the table with them for Sunday dinner. My mom thought that maybe she was disabled and couldn’t get down the stairs. My aunt was pretty startled and told my mom that their great grandmother had died two years before my mom was born! My mom was also startled and admitted that she had never before thought to ask about it. In all of that time, she had no idea it was their great grandmother’s ghost watching them play. It still gives me goose bumps.

This example of my mom’s great grandmother is the type of spirit that usually will not cause fear. She seemed to be doing what a great grandmother would do and watching over the children. Normally kids won’t have any trouble with this type of guardian spirit. Another interesting aspect to this is that my aunt never saw her, while my mom did. Maybe their great grandmother Salina knew it would frighten my aunt Mary and not my mom?

These beings are in and around our lives whether we see them or not. Our bodies tend to react with fear when we first see something out of the ordinary. Just know that our Guides and Angels want to help and will protect us from the negative energies. Just ask!

Helping Children Bothered by Unwanted Spirits!

indian, ghost

It’s just one of those things. Kids we are even more likely to see and hear ghosts than adults. Many children are natural Mediums. This ability starts to shut off in us is when we realize that talking about Ghosts makes most adults uncomfortable. The old “it’s just an imaginary friend” explanation starts to seem like the way to explain it away. It can leave young people in a vulnerable place with no one to talk to. I was lucky to have my intuitive grandmother to talk to. In hindsight, I appreciate her even more now. I eventually had to learn how to clear out these unwanted spirits. Not all experiences are with negative spirits though.

Both of my parents experienced ghosts as children, so genetically it just seems to run in my family. My dad grew up in Washington State. When he was young, he was at a neighbor’s farmhouse with his older brother. They were talking with their friend when they saw the front door swing open and close all by it self. Next they heard the sound of boots walking through the room towards the kitchen and then apparently exit through the kitchen door, as it also swung open and closed by itself. They ran home and I don’t believe ever went back.

I’ve seen ghosts and spirits for a long as I can remember and I was spooked a lot. For a good part of my childhood, my family lived in Claremont, California. Even though the main drag is named “Indian Hill”, I didn’t realize that Claremont had been home to the Serrano (highlander) and Cahuilla Indians. After the Spanish settled in the area, the Indians were mostly wiped out by small pox. The spirits that lived on the land before can haunt even newly built homes years later. I just never felt comfortable living in Claremont, even though on the surface it was a beautiful, quaint, college town.

My room always had an eerie feeling and I didn’t get too many good nights sleep. I stayed awake as long as I could and I slept with my closet light on hoping for protection. I saw shadowy figures and felt that prickly Electro Magnetic Field (EMF) sensation. I remember being in a panic one night because I could hear a voice calling my name out of my closet. At first it was a whisper and it got louder and louder until I cried and ran out of my room. Later, after we moved, my mom and brother both told of being woken up and seeing a woman dressed all in brown standing over them. Then she disappeared.

When I was 11 or 12 years old I became more bold and lead ghost tours for the neighborhood kids in our hallway. My sister reminded me on her last visit that we called this “Dark-In-Doors”. We would shut all of the doors and turned off the lights. There was almost total darkness, even during the day. It was pretty dark, but I could see and feel the spirits in there with us. The truth be told, most of my ghost tours usually ended up with one of the neighbor kids running out of the house screaming!

My experiences lead me to spend my early years trying to overcome my fear and learn how understand who these spirits were and why they were there. Along this line, I also learned how to clear negative spirits from my environment. Many ghosts are just confused or have unfinished business and really just need to cross over. Occasionally there are dark spirits looking to feed on fears and draw energy to manifest. Children are easy targets. After going through these experiences, I always listen to young people and help them with these problems!

Every so often in my practice a concerned a parent will bring in their teenager or preteen who is really going through it with ghosts. In one case a client brought in her granddaughter, whom I’ll call Hannah, to see if I could help her. She was extremely sensitive and her trouble had escalated due to stress brought on by her parents divorce. Both parents were not listening to her complaints of seeing and feeling a shadowy spirit. I could relate to her issues and knew she was not sleeping well. The front room in her dad’s house made her feel especially afraid.

ghost

I tuned in and described a cranky old man that had lived somewhere around her house. I could tell he had died and just didn’t want to move on. I could see him hanging around his wife, moving things and generally being a nuisance. He was still trying to affect her life. It all became so disruptive that his widow had yelled at him to leave. I said that he was the type of guy who would call the police on the neighborhood dogs and yell at the kid if they dared go in his yard. A look of recognition came over Hannah’s face. She said it sounded like Mr. X, who died two years before and had actually sprayed her dad with the hose.

I told her that he had initially gone across the street, but their dogs had barked at him. He then settled in at her dad’s front room to hang out. I psychically told him to move on and I gave her some methods to clear him out as well. I told her to bring her dog with her when she stayed at her dad’s house (even though the dad didn’t like it too much) and this alone would help to deter Mr. X from hanging around. Just listening to Hannah and validating her experiences helped. Also knowing the identity of the spirit made it a lot less scary for her. After that, things dramatically improved for Hannah.

If you or your children are experiencing hauntings and scary experiences with unwanted spirits, the act of telling them to leave can really help. Mentally ask your guides and angels to help the ghost cross over. Prayers and rituals can add to your intention to clear your home by giving you a physical way to express your intention. These include the Native American ritual burning of sage (I personally prefer the smoke form sweet grass) and blowing the smoke into the corners of the room(s) you are clearing. Other methods such as putting blessed crystals or religious medals in the corners, placing a line of sea salt, forming a perimeter around the area, sprinkling holy water, burning incense or even spraying Fabreeze will work! You can use any thing that you feel comfortable with as your ritual. It not the specific method you use. The real power is in your intention for a safe and “grounded spirit” free zone. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from an expert, it’s like learning to live with a parasite… It’s just not necessary, you don’t need to live that way. We all deserve a good nights sleep and to feel safe and protected in our own homes!

The Secrets to a Successful Past Life Regression – My Personal Experience

Past life regression

Most of us are curious about our past lives and how they affect our current lifetime. Is it really possible to explore these experiences our self? Yes, Past Life Hypnotic Regression makes this possible. These are some things that will help you have a successful experience.

My personal experience of developing a phobia and having nightmares of being strangled seemingly came out of the blue in my early 20’s. A choking feeling and health problems with my throat became constant. I would feel panicked when anyone or anything was near my neck. My awareness of reincarnation prompted me to finally try Past Life Hypnosis. I realized that the phobia was really my soul trying to send me a warning. The problems started a few months before I dated the man who strangled me in past life. He was still a jerk but at least he didn’t strangle me this time around. Even though I had stopped dating him, the phobia and symptoms continued until I brought it into my conscious mind. After this, my health issues improved and my phobia went away. This personal experience fueled my desire to help others heal their own phobias, fears, physical ailments and relationship issues that traditional therapy and medicine have not helped.

I am a huge fan of Dr. Brian Weiss and his fascinating book “Many Lives, Many Masters” where he describes his journey of discovering the healing potential of using hypnosis with his patient Catherine to uncover the traumas from her previous life times that had plagued her current life. He went from a skeptical Psychiatrist to an advocate and teacher sharing his expertise in the field. I feel so fortunate to have studied with Dr. Brian Weiss and his wife Carol at the Omega Institute in Texas. I received my Past Life Hypnotherapy Certification with a true master teacher and wonderful person! Be sure to check out his new book “Miracles Happen, The Transformational Healing Power of Past-Life Memories” that he wrote with his daughter Amy E. Weiss, MSW.

Various reasons motivate people to take the journey into their past lives. Some are tourists, open to any experience to confirm their existence beyond this physical body. Others have more pressing problems holding them back in their current life or relationship. Stay tuned; I will post some of the fascinating stories in upcoming blogs!

Vivid detailed dreams that feel real can be a clue to your other lifetimes. The following is an example of this type of dream that I had as a teenager. I was a man fighting on the deck of a large ship (maybe Spanish armada). I found myself partially behind a large mast when I looked up and saw a puff of smoke. I saw a man pointing an odd looking gun with a flared end at me. I started to fall onto the deck and I knew I was dead. I woke up with a start and knew it was probably a past life.

Ask your higher self to help you become aware of what issues to focus on before you go to sleep or while you meditate. Even if you are not consciously aware of receiving an answer, this will help streamline your experience and point you toward the information that will be the most beneficial in a session.

The Secrets to a Successful Past Life Regression – Hypnosis

Hypnotherapy, hypnosis

Hypnosis is a relaxed state of your body and your mind is in a slowed state or alpha wave. Think of when you are deep in creative thought. The world just blurs away and your mind runs free. Time will fly by but seem like only a few minutes. Most of us have experienced this many times on our own, or in meditation. It’s important to choose a certified hypnotherapist that you feel very comfortable with. There really is nothing to be afraid of, and the experience can be very restful. The hypnotherapist will guide you through the process.

The big secret to hypnosis is not to try too hard and to just relax and follow along. Before you know it, feelings, images, physical sensations and emotions will start to flow. Most people can be hypnotized, and many times the very people that don’t think they can be are the best candidates. In my group sessions with college students, I enjoy seeing the surprise when even the skeptics recall experiences from a previous lifetime. Private sessions can be the most productive, because they are more comfortable and personalized. I structure the sessions for two hours with the goal that clients will experience two or three past lives and have an in depth experience.

Another secret is not to intellectualize and critique what is happening. Just set all analysis aside until the end of the session when the information is processed and healing starts. In my first Past Life Regression, I had it all running through my mind: “I’m not really hypnotized because I can think”, “I want to get my money’s worth”, “I probably saw this in a movie or on TV”, “I can hear a noise in the room”, “ my nose has an itch”… A good hypnotherapist will help you find that perfect level of relaxation, quiet the left brained chatter and leave the analysis behind. Then the real show will begin.

Be open to what you experience you receive: It may not be the one you were looking for, but the one you need. In a typical session you will be directed into the area you want to explore. Keep in mind that if you have something that your soul or higher self really want to show you, that is more likely what you will see. I’ve had people want to see how they know their boyfriend and then they get taken to another relationship that is a bigger issue in their life. You will see what you are ready for.

You will be able to answer questions while hypnotized and remember everything after your session. I ask a lot of non-leading questions and this helps trigger the information to come forward. You will probably not be able to answer every question, but the questions stimulate the information. If a client starts out slow, I will suggest that they use their imagination and describe something, maybe a house from the past… It’s like priming the pump and many times as they describe the house, we just roll right into a lifetime and that house they thought they were imagining will really be the house they lived in. The information is all there in your soul memory. Other people just start immediately experiencing their lifetime fast and furious at a critical event in that lifetime. Usually we will jump from the initial scene to other points in the life time and circle back on the initial scene with a more full understanding of what was happening and why.

The Houdini Séance at the Magic Castle

Houdini Magic Castle

I was lucky enough to get a last minute invitation to fill an empty spot at the Houdini Séance table. My friend’s husband has an allergy to wearing ties, and the Magic Castle has a dress code. I owe my good fortune to a man with principles about his personal style!

The Magic Castle is in Hollywood, California, close to the Hollywood bowl. It is a really great old Victorian home Built in 1909 and restored in 1961 to become a private club for and by Magicians. It’s home to the Academy of Magical Arts (think Hogwarts). You must know a member to finagle an invitation. The Club has a lot of personality. It’s a little formal, spooky and welcoming all at the same time.

Once checked in, you say “Open Sesame” to the owl with glowing red eyes, the book case slides open and you enter. You have cocktails at one of a few bars through out the club. Then you begin to notice many odd things everywhere you look. There are paintings with eyes that follow you around the room, a piano bench that take the shape of someone sitting on it as a ghost named Irma takes requests and plays the baby grand piano. Next to the piano is a gilded cage with a ghost canary that chirps “cheap, cheap” at the poor tippers. Everything has a sense of humor and mystery.

Dinner is served in the Séance room, which is full of Harry Houdini’s memorabilia from his act and home that was nearby. There is a photo of his wife conducting a séance, trying to reach him during the last of the 10 years after his death that they had agreed that she would try. Houdini had spent many years looking for proof of life after death and disillusioned by fake mediums he made it his mission to expose their tricks and gimmicks in his act. Even so, he still held hope to find proof and promised to try to come back after his death. The 10 of us were seated at a large round table for a delicious dinner, and can I just say Lava Cake!

Our group was filled with engineering and technical friends that were up for fun, but honestly, I think they were a little bit worried that it may be real. Before the Séance, Kelly, a charge nurse at a local hospital had told us a spooky story of a patient that had jumped to her death out of a 7th floor window and now the staff sees her spirit around her old hospital room. I told them of the time my Uncle’s spirit visited me on night when I was working late by myself. The next day I found out he had died. When it was time to start, we were ready, real or not!

Tom

Leo Kostka, the resident Medium has a great theatrical presence. I was impressed when he asked me to think of the name of who was my first love or who gave me my first kiss or a favorite teacher and to project the name I chose to him by repeating it in my head. He had his back to me and on a piece of paper he wrote the name “Tom”, the name I was thinking of was Mr. Thomason my 5th grade teacher. I’m just not sure how he did this other than telepathy! The Séance included slight of hand and magic, great stories about Harry Houdini and the Lane family who built the mansion. We were instructed to keep our hands on the tabletop with our palms down and remain in our seats. Before long the chandelier was swinging, a wind chime was ringing, the candles moved and blew out, and books flew off of shelves. The room went into near complete darkness and the table levitated and vibrated wildly in the air. Glowing faces appeared in the windows and a tambourine flew out of a locked case. The old radio lit up and disembodied voices trailed in and out around the room. This definitely was a nod back to a bygone era of formal séances. When I see spirits, it’s usually not so dramatic!

We finished the evening in the big theater with a fun show featuring three different magicians. Their acts were really professional and funny. Magician Bruce Gold was the Master Of Ceremonies and was quite funny with his “Amazing Psychic Toaster”! He had a woman from the audience choose a card and keep it hidden. His old fashioned, one slice toaster, accurately, maybe psychically, toasted the image of her playing card onto a slice of wonder bread. One of the other Magicians, Steven Fox whose hand played “thing” in the Adams Family movie, even did dramatic reenactments of his hand’s emotions. I just hope someone from the academy was watching! I even had Justin Willman seated next to me (host of “Cupcake Wars”). He graciously told me his name when I recognized his face, but I just couldn’t place him. I suspect sightings of Hollywood personalities may happen often.

If you get the chance to go, it is a one of a kind experience. I’m so glad I got to go along for this really fun evening and Séance. I’ll hope someone else will have some misgivings about wearing a tie again soon!

What your Aura says about you

Aura colorsFor some reason I have always been able to see Auras around people and animals, and even objects. I really don’t think about it too much unless I’m actively scanning energy and doing readings. The color(s) I see surrounding people helps me understand what is going on in their life.

Sometimes a person’s Aura just stands out to me in some way and occasionally I’ll mention it to the person (I’m sensitive to the fact that not everyone is open to this). A couple of months ago my husband and I were helped at the bank by a really nice young clerk. As we opened a new account I started to really notice that his Aura was a beautiful lavender/violet color which is uncommon to see on a bank employee. Usually I see shades of blue on people that are analytical, studying or writing (think engineers, accountants, lawyers…). I had told him I was a hypnotherapist and did readings and with his Aura color I would have expected him to be in a more creative and intuitive occupation. He seemed surprised and told me that he was intuitive and was also a musician. He had taken the bank position while he was in college, and due to the economy he felt stuck there. I suggested that he get back to his music and trust his intuition to lead him in the right direction. I am struck by how much energy he was using doing a job that wasn’t compatible with his natural energy field!

I came to realize that Aura colors are up to interpretation and may be reported differently due to the observer or observation method. I had noticed that books on Aura colors disagreed with each other as well as with my own observations. These realizations lead me to correlate the colors that I saw around people that I already knew with their characteristics. Now this is what I base my interpretation on. My Aura color observation database continues to grow with time, experience, friends and clients.

Once while my husband and I were walking up to a reported energy vortex (natural energy center) in Sedona, Arizona, we talked briefly with a woman who was there with her husband and dog. They recently had their Auras read by a machine that was supposed to tell their Aura colors. In the first place I was surprised because both of their Aura colors were blue which told me that they were both technical, expressed themselves well and were not typical of people who would pay to find out about their Auras! The Husband also had a layer of lavender around his Aura. As I mentioned above, lavender is an intuitive color and is also linked with rapid shifts of focus with quick answers to problems all calling for attention at once. It essentially gets interpreted as ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) type behavior, bright but a little chaotic. It’s not a bad thing, and whatever you call it, it describes the energy pattern. I’ve seen variations on this color scheme. I said her husband would be a good design engineer. The woman told me that was his profession! The woman’s Aura had a couple of blue bubbles around her throat so I knew that she could write books. When I let her know, she told me that she was a teacher of English literature and had already written one textbook and was working on another one. The dog was the funny one. The machine said their dog had a red Aura. I assured her that his Aura was green and not red. Red can indicate anger or family issues, but green is correlated with the heart chakra. Nurses, healers and empathetic people typically have green Auras. Auras don’t lie, it turns out he was a healing dog and worked in hospitals… It made perfect sense! Any one in the hospital will want a sea of green Auras surrounding them! Needless to say I’m a little suspect of the Aura image machines. Maybe that one wasn’t calibrated well? Either way I’ll stick to my method, it works for me!

The Aura colors correlate with the colors of light spectrum and the energy centers in the body that these represent. If you don’t see Auras, you can learn. It’s fun to find a place to sit and Aura watch as people walk by a light colored background. Some people can close their eyes and sense the color. Pay attention to how your energy feels. If you feel drained and tired at work then your occupation may not be compatible with your Aura color and energy system. If you feel energized at work then the odds are good that you have found a good match for your Aura color and energy vibration. This will lead you to success!

My Roswell Experience

Kim Trotman, alien

I’ve been on a bit of a UFO Quest these last couple of years. It all goes back to an experience that I had when I was still in the crib as a toddler. To this day I can see the look on my parents face as I yelled bloody murder. The “little wooden Man” who had popped up in my crib had grabbed my sock and made off with it. My main frustration was my parent’s slow reaction to the theft. I had to really push the issue to get them to take the mattress out and do a thorough investigation. The incident became one of those family jokes through the years since we never recovered the sock, but I know what I saw! I’ve had a healthy interest and a lot of personal experiences in all things paranormal ever since.

Yvonne and Brent Smith
Yvonne and Brent Smith

My Trip to Roswell germinated when I decided to go see my friend, Yvonne Smith speak at the Roswell UFO Museum’s 2012 – 4 day Galaxy Fest which falls on the July 3rd anniversary of the famous 1947 UFO crash. Yvonne’s expertise is based on her work as a hypnotherapist helping hundreds of clients who have experienced abductions and the post traumatic stress that can follow. She is the author of “Chosen” and founder of the group (Close Encounter Resource Organization) CERO that gives support and a safe environment for people that have had unusual UFO encounters of the 4th kind. “You could hear a pin drop during her talk!” as my mom said when we attended Yvonne’s lecture at the McMinnville, Oregon UFO fest in May.

Roswell Museum UFO
From the Roswell Museum; a UFO

Roswell’s Museum and Galaxy fest is run by Julie Shuster (daughter of Rowell Army Air Field Public Information Officer Walter Haut – who issued the initial Press release stating that a “Flying disc” had been recovered in 1947) The Museum has here many displays of the equipment used “back in the day”, photo’s of the crash site and the major players in the incident. In the middle is huge UFO that puts out smoke and sounds as if it’s landing with life size alien figures surrounding it. One of the Aliens slightly turned his head and really made me jump.

It is hot in July but a really beautiful drive from the Albuquerque Airport to Roswell, NM. And where else could I hear serious UFO information, have my picture taken with Denise Crosby From or should I say “Lt. Tasha Yar” of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” fame, see a fun parade that is about 5 minutes long that the City sponsors and Take a van tour with EJ Wilson and Noe Torres on the path of where the Alien Bodies were taken, witnesses detained and cover stories concocted after the crash.

Travis Walton, Back to the Future
Here is Travis Walton, going back to the future?

We had dinner with well known abductee Travis Walton and witness to the incident Steve Pierce. A couple of regular guys that have been through the ringer with being hounded by world wide press, attempting to bribe Steve Pierce to say that it never happened. They endured their own family members not believing their experience. Travis book based on his experience of being taken for 5 days is called “Fire in the Sky, The Travis Walton Experience” and is well worth the read. You may recognize the name from the movie that was based on his account.

Dianna Perla Chappa,
This is Dianna Perla Chappa and Me

My one complaint was that there were so many great speakers on such a variety of topics that we couldn’t get to all of the lectures. Four speakers ran at once. The topics ranged from weird metals still found at the crash site by researcher Frank Kimbler, the military cover up of the crash, Freddy Silva on crop circles and what they mean to the Nuclear Physicist Stanton Friedman, who in the 80’s, brought renewed interest to the Roswell incident. His lecture covered the technology that has already been developed that could theoretically power interstellar spacecraft. I really enjoyed the entertaining Diana Perla Chapa from Monterey, Mexico and her interesting footage of flying humanoids and her lecture on Mayan Predictions. Paola Harris was there with a UFO Update from the international perspective and Kathleen Marden, Betty Hills Niece, spoke on the Betty and Barney Hill experience. Galexy fest wouldn’t be complete with out the very nice Kevin Randle and Don Schmitt, both with bestselling books on the Roswell Incident.

Robert Salas
Sitting next to Robert Salas!

Aerospace Engineer and former Air Force officer Robert Salas gave his lecture on the connections between UFO’s and our Nuclear Technology and why it is covered up. His interesting experience is recounted in his book “Faded Giant”. While he was stationed in Montana at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Robert witnessed Minuteman Nuclear Missiles become disarmed immediately after a UFO was reported hovering over the base. This incident is one of many involving UFO’s an their apparent concern of our ability to safely handle Nuclear Technology!

The speakers and people that attend these conferences are really quite interesting to talk to and quite thought provoking. They seem to fall into various camps: people and researchers with personal experiences and sightings, the scientists who would love to get their hand on the technology and the plain old curious and open-minded. I probably shouldn’t leave out Men in Black. The funny thing is, while listening to this subject matter in a town called Roswell that is full of UFO and Alien Décor and hoopla, there are usually a couple of people that seem a bit “out there”. I know, I know… it’s all in the perspective! Bottom line, it was fun and I’d go again.
